WESTCLIFF were left to rue the absence of key players, indiscipline and basic errors as Canterbury ended up deserved winners.
Playing with the elements in the first half, Westcliff were able to exert early pressure, but frustratingly three kickable penalties were squandered, before Canterbury opened their account with a try from winger Guy Hilton, converted by Thomas Best.
Westcliff were to suffer three first-half yellow cards, which disrupted them further, and Canterbury recorded two more tries before the break...
