HENLEY Hawks came from behind to win a pulsating game against gallant Guernsey.

The visitors can feel a little aggrieved as they raced to a 19-3 lead and outscored the home side by four tries to three.

The Raiders showed they were well up for it in the opening minutes when wing Anthony Armstrong collected a cross-kick to get his side's first try. Guernsey hooker Daniel Morgan them collected a brace of tries both converted by Owen Thomas.

The Hawks were sluggish and only had a Max Titchener penalty to show before the first real threat from the home side finished with Rory Mason scoring after a great break from skipper Dave Manning.

The Hawks then scored a magnificent team try from one end of the pitch to the other with Sam Lunnon claiming the score and Titchener converting.

But the Hawks went to sleep at the restart allowing the Raiders to extend their lead, Ethan Smith crossed to give the visitors a half-time lead of 24-15.

The Hawks enjoyed their best spell after the break. Titchener kicked a penalty before Tom Vooght scored his first try for the club. Titchener's conversion put the m into the lead for the first time. A further penalty from Titchener extended the lead.
