Jack Dunne believes that the ban on transgender women from playing full-contact female rugby imposed by the English, Welsh and Irish unions is wrong.
The Exeter lock, 23, who came out as bisexual in 2021, believes the ban sends the wrong message that rugby is an all-inclusive sport open to all.
Transgender player Julie Curtiss has mounted a legal challenge against the RFU’s decision, and although Dunne wouldn’t be drawn into supporting the legal action, he believes there shouldn’t be a blanket ban.
