Williams has a vital role to play at Scarlets

This week the worst kept secret in Welsh rugby was announced with the WRU confirming that Gareth Williams has left his position as contact skills coach of the national side to become the Scarlets’ new defensive guru.
I must admit I’m a bit confused at why he’d want to give up the chance of coaching his country at the Rugby World Cup, but this is the decision he’d made, and I wish him all the best.
I think he’s got a very important role at the Scarlets who have struggled defensively for the last couple of seasons.
