Doncaster Knights back row Thom Smith watched on in awe as his former classmate Tommy Freeman made his England debut and played a pivotal role in their 2-1 series win in Australia.
Smith and Freeman were in the same year group at Culford School in Suffolk and the former Leicester Tigers flanker is delighted for his childhood friend who was rewarded with a Test call up after a stellar season at Northampton Saints.
