Italians not playing ball with Warriors in Franco battle

Glasgow Warriors are battling to name Franco Smith as their new head after the Italian Rugby Federation increased their asking price to release the South African from his contract.
The Warriors have been without a coach all summer since Danny Wilson was sacked and the former Springbok is the man that they want to fill the post.
Smith, 49, has accepted the job but is understood to have another year left to run on his contract, but the Scottish Rugby Union are struggling to agree on a compensation deal.
