The IRFU have promised to have women’s contracts in place in time for next year’s Six Nations, but Ireland flanker Edel McMahon believes that money alone is not going to help bridge the gap unless the right infrastructures are put in place.
The announcement was made back in April after calls had intensified following Ireland’s 69-0 defeat to England at Welford Road.
