Lam’s double edges Samoa to glory

Seilala Lam scored two tries as Samoa produced a dramatic 23-20 comeback victory over Fiji to win the Pacific Nations Cup yesterday morning.
With Australia A posting a 39-22 win over Tonga in their final-round match, Samoa had to beat Fiji to win the tournament.
Trailing 17-3 at halftime to scores by Albert Tuisue and Frank Lomani, Samoa looked to have handed Australia A the title, but a spirited comeback in the second 40 minutes prised the Aussies hands off the trophy.
