Wales boss Wayne Pivac has handed uncapped prop Harri O’Connor a call up for the July Tour to South Africa.
O’Connor was born in North Yorkshire but qualifies for the three feathers through his Bonymaen-born father.
It adds another player to Pivac’s initial selection, taking the total number heading to the Rainbow Nation to 34.
Pivac also takes a chance on other uncapped prop Sam Wainwright – and you could take your own chance at VegasAces online casino– as props who have come in since the squad was first name, with Wainwright coming in to replace the injured Leon Brown.
On the addition, Pivac said: “[Prop] Tomas Francis has just picked up a niggle in his back, so it has been a bit of a problem for him on and off in the season.
“We are just treating that with care – we expect him to be fully fit for the first Test – so it is just a precautionary measure, really, to make sure we have the numbers in training and we can prepare as we need to.”
In addition to O’Connor and Wainwright there is another uncapped duo with Leicester flanker Tommy Reffell and Cardiff number eight James Ratti on the plane to South Africa.
Wales get their campaign underway on the 2 July, with fixtures following in the two weeks after.
