LEICESTER Tigers are “deeply saddened” by the death of Tiffany Youngs this week.
Tiffany, the wife of former England and Leicester hooker Tom, was diagnosed with a lymphatic cancer in 2014, prompting Tom to step away from England's tour of New Zealand.
Tom then retired from rugby in April at the age of 35, having been on indefinite leave since October.
The club wrote: “On behalf of everybody at the club, we send our condolences to the Youngs and Sands families.
“We ask that the Youngs and Sands families have their privacy respected.”
