MANU Tuilagi’s latest knee operation, which rules him out of England’s summer tour to Australia, shows just how precarious it is for Eddie Jones to build his midfield plans around the Sale centre. 
The England coach has had seven years to find a powerful, straight-running 12 replacement, but has not done so.
