SHAUN Edwards’ son James Small-Edwards has taken his first steps in politics and has been elected as a Labour Party councillor to Westminster City Council.
Small-Edwards, 25, who played for Wasps and Richmond, takes his name from France’s defence coach and his mum, the M People singer Heather Small.
He was one of three Labour councillors elected to the Bayswater ward and had been helped out on the campaign trail by his father who spoke of his pride at his son’s new career.
