EVEN in a world of surprises, it would be quite something for an Ipswich Town football nut to drive the mighty European campaigners of Munster out of this season’s Champions Cup. Hats off, then, to Ed Sheeran, scourge of Limerick.
By booking Thomond Park for a couple of strumathons on quarter-final weekend, the most prominent follower of the Tractor Boys has denied the locals precious home advantage over Antoine Dupont, Romain Ntamack and the rest of the Toulouse glitterati.
It is possible to argue that this has left Munster up to their eyeballs in silage. Dublin, the new venue...
