ENGLAND’S hopes of bouncing back from last weekend’s disappointing 13th place finish at the Singapore Sevens did not get off to a great start in Vancouver last night.
Alex Davis returned from injury, but Tom Bowen was ruled out.
They opened with a 27-12 defeat to last week’s winners Fiji with consolation tries from Will Homer and Blake Boyland, before crashing to a 20-19 defeat to USA in the second game.
Tony Roques’ side take on Kenya, who beat USA in the opening game, in the early hours of this morning.
