Lam calls on Hull to bring consistency

PAT Lam expects greater consistency over offences that warrant a red or yellow card when Paul Hull takes over as the RFU’s head of professional game match officials in the summer.
The position has been vacant since Tony Spreadbury left to join the organisers of the Heineken Champions Cup last December. His departure coincided in an increase in the number of players sent off in Premierships matches, most for tackles that involved contact with an opponent’s head.
