DANNY Toala’s goldenpoint extra-time winner gave Moana Pasifika their first ever win in Super Rugby, with a 24-19 triumph over the Hurricanes.
Despite lacking in possession and territory for most of the match, Moana Pasifika matched the New Zealand side physicality wise with strong resilient defence shown throughout.
Jordie Barrett, Joshua Morby and Alex Fidlow crossed for the Hurricanes, but Henry Stowers and Levi Aumua touched down for the home side before Solomone Funaki’s 77th minute score sent the game to extratime.
