STU Townsend hopes a run of injuries is behind him as he looks to challenge the Maunder brothers and Sam Hidalgo-Clydne for Exeter’s No.9 jersey as the campaign enters its final months.
Townsend, 26, returned to action for the Chiefs in the Premiership Cup yesterday having made one appearance this season, as a replacement against Sale three weeks into the Premiership season.
