BURY St Edmunds fullback Charlie Reed is enjoying a formidable goal kicking season and credits his former footballing days for his success off the tee.
Reed, who went through the Northampton Town and Cambridge United academies before switching to rugby, has scored a league high 27 penalties this season.
He said: “I brought those skills I learned playing football from a young age into rugby. Goal kicking has always been a massive passion of mine, in terms of consistent practice and making sure I do my bit for the team. I see it as a huge part of the game...
