GIVEN the Six Nations’ capacity for wreaking havoc on a Grand National scale, it is all too easy to forget that mere survival can be an achievement in itself. Not many are good enough, fit enough or lucky enough to be chosen for all five matches in the same position.
From a total cast which can’t have been far short of 200, only 30 went into Super Saturday exactly where they were for the opening weekend and every subsequent round, on the starting grid.
