LONDON Irish have made a swoop to land Brive and Samoa U20 back row So’otala Fa’aso’o on a deal from the start of next season.
The 27-year-old, who has played in France since 2016 when he joined Racing 92 before moving to Brive two years later, can operate at either flanker or No.8.
Meanwhile, the Exiles have won their battle with Racing to retain the services of former Wallaby lock Adam Coleman for next season. But they have been forced to admit defeat in the fight to keep flanker Olly Cracknell, who will be moving to Leicester.
