A penalty try gave Exeter University a 26-21 bonus point win as they won a thrilling varsity against rivals Loughborough at Sandy Park to keep the pressure on league leaders Durham.
Durham showed their class in a 43-14 victory against Cardiff, and still lead Exeter by one point.
It sets up a pulsating final two weeks, with bonus points set to be crucial in the race to decide who wins the league and make a major statement ahead of the battle for the title, for which both have now secured a home semi-final.
