STEVE Diamond will consider putting up one of his coaching team to face the media if he feels in danger of saying something that will get himself in trouble following Dean Richards’ three match ban for sounding off about referee Christophe Ridley.
Richards made his comments after Newcastle’s defeat to Exeter in last Sunday’s match after the Falcons, who had Callum Chick sent off for a dangerous tackle 25 minutes in, saw their first league victory since they had won at Sandy Park in November denied by a late penalty.
