EALING and Doncaster’s applications for promotion to the Premiership will be considered at an RFU Board of Directors meeting on Tuesday.
The meeting comes four days before two of the leading contenders for the Championship title meet in a crunch match at Ealing’s Vallis Way.
The other two challengers for the Championship title, Jersey Reds and Cornish Pirates, will not be part of the discussions as they did not submit an application before the deadline and do not have designs on joining the elite at this stage.
