No Top 14 matches were originally scheduled for this weekend – the second of the Six Nations – as clubs were down to enjoy a well-earned rest after an 11-week block of matches, including four European weekends.
Covid, it will come as precisely no surprise to anyone, put paid to that best-laid plan of LNR scheduler.
Four matches, postponed from earlier in the season were duly rescheduled for this weekend.
And, as the season so far has turned out, they were all important ones – with points vital for different reasons to different clubs...
