Harlequins tighthead and England international Will Collier has signed a new long-term contract at the Twickenham Stoop.
Twice capped by England in the 2017 Argentina tour, the 30-year-old academy product has been in a strong vein of form for Harlequins over the last year – recently surpassing 200 appearances for the his boyhood club.
Two-time Premiership winner Collier won the title in 2011/12 season and the 2020/21 season, as well as the 2011 European Challenge Cup title.
Commenting on his new deal, Collier told the club website: “I am incredibly proud to recommit to Quins. It is my boyhood club, I grew up down the road and my Dad used to take me to watch them play as a kid. At the end of the day, I am and always will be a huge Quins fan.
“I've had the privilege of working with a lot of Club legends in the past and I couldn't be more excited to get to work with some of the future legends I can see in the current squad.
“I have been here since 2009 and have experienced all the ups and downs but we are in a great place at the moment with a special group of people. We're staying TRUE to ourselves and doing things our way. That's hugely important to me and the lads and shows the buy-in you get from the players.”
Commenting, Scrum Coach Adam Jones said: “It's great to have Will re-sign. Will is a strong scrummaging prop and has hit something close to career-best form recently. He's been fantastic for us since returning from injury and has been key to our Premiership win last year as well as our start to the current campaign.
“We're lucky to have such a strong unit of high-quality front rows across the board here at Quins. Seeing Will re-commit to where we're going as a team and what we want to do is a boost for this club's ambitions.”
Collier joins a strong group including Alex Dombrandt, Tyrone Green and Danny Care in extending their time in the famous Quartered jersey.
