ALEC Hepburn’s energetic campaign to make today’s loosehead prop community more interesting than the majority of their forerunners continues apace.
It is a little over a year since the Exeter front rower went public with some pungent views on the government’s pandemic restriction policy, accusing ministers of using “force and coercion to manipulate the public into compliance” and failing to “represent or respect” the values of the nation.
He was equally forthright in the narrow Premiership defeat at Harlequins last weekend, albeit in a different way.
