DANIELLE Waterman set up the Women’s Rugby Association, which launched last week, to ensure players do not lose out as the domestic game continues to take off.
Waterman, right, the former England full-back and 2014 World Cup winner who retired two years ago, was inspired to form the WPA after reading ten months ago about the Bristol and Wales flanker Alisha Butchers who was forced to crowdfund to pay for surgery on an ankle.
