TIMING is everything in sport, and the Bristol Bears video released this week trumpeting their signing of Ellis Genge for next season saw the Leicester skipper on the receiving end of a shocker of a public relations hospital pass.
No sooner had Leicester confirmed Genge’s unexpected departure from the league leaders to return to his hometown club, than Bristol sent out footage the following day of Genge – who will captain the Tigers until the end of the season – walking into their training complex.
