London Welsh head coach Lyn Jones has revealed Gavin Henson will be back in action in four weeks for the Exiles.
The 30-year-old, who suffered a fractured cheekbone during London Welsh’s pre-season friendly defeat against the Scarlets, looked set to be out of action for six weeks but Jones reckons he will only miss the first four rounds of the Aviva Premiership.
He said: “Gavin will be around in four weeks time and we look forward to having him back.”
Following the game, Jones was blaming a late tackle by a Scarlets’ player, believed to be Fijian prop Deacon Manu, and considered taking actions against them.
However, in a statement issued by the club earlier this week, London Welsh said: “Having reviewed the DVD the club are satisfied that the injury to Gavin was caused by an accidental clash of heads, and the club does not attach blame to any Scarlets player.”
