Silence of WRU over Amanda is baffling

FOR the third week in a row, the WRU offered nothing more than a stoney silence over Amanda Blanc’s abrupt resignation as the independent chair of the Professional Game Board. Their policy appears to be one tried and tested down the decades: ‘Say nothing and hope it goes away.’
Ms Blanc, group chief executive of the insurance giant Aviva, gave the reasons behind her sudden exit in a letter to the WRU. The influential Cardiff supporters group, the CF10 Rugby Trust, asked the Union to publish the letter on the basis that the game at large had a right to know.
