FORMER Worcester captain Chris Pennell has leapt to the defence of Ollie Lawrence after he was attacked in Eddie Jones’ latest book.
Jones said Lawrence, 22, was ‘ not hungry nor disciplined enough’ and played down the praise the young Worcester centre had received.
Pennell told The Rugby Paper Lawrence was “a unique player” and put the emphasis back on Jones’ man-management skills.
