STEVE Diamond takes charge of Worcester’s rugby department tomorrow with head coach Jonathan Thomas seeing the appointment as bolstering his position rather than threatening it.
Diamond, who stood down as Sale’s director of rugby a year ago, has been appointed lead rugby consultant until the end of the season, reporting to Alan Solomons, the director of rugby who is leaving the club in the summer.
