BRISTOL B ears director of rugby Pat Lam admitted it had been a difficult night for his side in the scrum and conceded his side’s failure to compete in that core area cost them the match.
Lam said: “It is a big part of the game and if you are not dominant there, which we have been, then it is a big factor in how you can play the game.
“When you are missing Kyle Sinckler and John Afoa it’s tough.They are our frontline tightheads, but they should be back next week and make a difference but it is still a collective responsibility.”
