SAM Maunder aims to give the Exeter coaches a nudge after Covid lockdowns put his career on pause.
Maunder, 21, the third member of his family to play for Exeter after brother Jack and father Andy, last week interrupted a loan spell at Taunton to prepare for the Chiefs’ Premiership Cup campaign.
The cup was not played last season and the A league was mothballed, leaving emerging players like Maunder with little to do other than train. His only appearance in 2020-21 was ten minutes off the bench against Bristol.
