As revealed in The Rugby Paper on Sunday, London Welsh have strengthened their front row with the signings of Bourgoin duo Franck Montanella and Arthur Joly.
Montanella, at 125kg, is dynamic in the loose and comes with a reputation as an effective scrummager. He was capped once by France against New Zealand in 2007 and also enjoyed a spell at Stade Francais.
Joly, 24 and 122kg, represented France U20 in the Six Nations and was selected for the 2007 IRB Under-19 World Championships in 2007 in Belfast.
They both made their debuts for London Welsh in the club’s friendly against the Scarlets last Saturday.
