LEICESTER head coach Steve Borthwick praised the character of his players for fighting back from 16-12 down to claim the game.
Borthwick said: “I told the players that game could have gone either way at the end, it could have been a loss but the fact is the players showed immense character and immense fight. If it had been a loss I would have been immensely proud of them for what they did. If we have got that character and fight that is a good foundation for us to grow on.”
