ALEX Sanderson has sent his Sale Sharks on a pre-season camping trip with members of the SAS.
Sharks winger Marland Yarde says the camping trip to Wales was a real eyeopener for the Sharks, whom Sanderson guided to their first Premiership semi-final last season since they were champions in 2006.
“It definitely wasn’t glamping. It was camping in a field with plenty of flies to bond with,” said Yarde.
“We had some SAS guys who were very talented in putting up tents and set it all up for us, which was nice. We only had to pick a tent.
