NEW recruits Carwyn Penny, Callum Sirker and Caleb Montgomery made impressive debuts as the Pirates sunk the Royal Navy with an eight-try display in the first meeting of the two sides.
Former Wales U20 international Penny was named man-of-the-match with ex- Wasps winger Sirker and No.8 Montgomery, whose loan move from Worcester was announced only two hours before kick-off, both scoring tries.
Hooker Marlen Walker contributed two lineout drive tries with the others coming from Matt Bolwell, Arwel Robson, Rory Parata, Alex O’Meara and Haydn King.
