THANK you, Jeff Probyn for again highlighting the duty on the RFU to support all club rugby by distributing the revenue coming into the game via the England team.
Inevitably, given PRL clubs’ control over elite player contracts, the latter have a major claim on these central funds to compensate them for releasing players for international duty, but the growing proportion of Level 1 salaries going to foreign – notably South African – players must surely raise question marks over the effectiveness of the RFU incentives.
Hopefully this will lead to some downward movem...
