JIMMY GOPPERTH hasn’t ruled out the possibility of becoming the first back to play Premiership rugby past the age of 40.
The New Zealand-born Wasps centre/fly-half, who turned 38 in June, continues to defy his advancing years and says the thought of retiring has never crossed his mind as he looks forward to his 16th season as a professional.
“The way I am training and the way I am feeling and how my body is – no chance. I don’t see myself stopping,” he told TRP.
