JOEY Carlisle’s love of rugby may have been tested in recent years but the 33-yearold former Premiership player is still relishing a run out most weekends.
The fly-half/centre has endured some tough luck since his top-level rugby days came to an end six years ago.
Spells at three financially crippled clubs – London Welsh, Old Elthamians and Leeds – would have tested anyone’s resolve but Carlisle has since signed on for a season with Rotherham in National 2.
