RICHARD Cockerill will this week be unveiled as the latest member of Eddie Jones’ coaching team after agreeing to a contract with the RFU.
Former England hooker Cockerill left Edinburgh last month and had been looking to move into the international game.
He replaces John Mitchell, who has joined Wasps, and will be ideally placed to take over from Jones if he steps down after the 2023 World Cup in France.
Cockerill had a meeting with Jones for talks a fortnight ago, and the contract was finally agreed late last week.
