WHICHEVER XV France put on the field, be it 1st, 2nd or 3rd as in Australia in midweek, all three have suffered the same fate.
Losing at the last knockings has dogged them from Twickenham to Brisbane.
The habit has caught on since the Autumn Nations Cup final at HQ before Christmas when a mixture of second and third choice players humbled England only to be robbed by Owen Farrell’s extra-time penalty.
Maro Itoje’s late try denied them again in the Six Nations. Worse followed when Brice Dulin’s refusal to kick the ball dead in red-clock time let Scotland turn a lost cause into a winning one...
