IFI was a betting man, and thank the Lord I’m not Sir, I would have a modest punt on Ireland to take the forthcoming Olympic Sevens tournament.
Objectively they have no chance. They only qualified last week via the repechage tournament in Monaco and have never finished higher than tenth in the World Series with a best tournament result of third in the 2018 London leg.
