SCOTTISH Rugby performance director Jim Mallinder has challenged Scotland’s next generation to step up and show their leadership credentials this summer in the absence of a raft of senior players.
With eight players away with the British & Irish Lions, seasoned performers such as Fraser Brown, Stuart McInally, Jonny Gray and Grant Gilchrist rested and others such as Darcy Graham, Matt Fagerson and Huw Jones injured, the Scots will have an unfamiliar look for today’s A game against England and Tests against Romania and Georgia in July.
