THE Springboks paid Sale Sharks the ultimate compliment last night, picking no fewer than five of the team charging towards the Premiership final.
Half their pack and scrum-half Faf de Klerk have been rewarded for the club’s record-breaking domestic run into the playoffs with the prospect of appearing in the three-Test series against the Lions starting next month.
Tighthead Coenie Oosterhuizen, lock Lood de Jager, the back row Du Preez brothers, Dan and Jean-Luc, raise the prospect of Sale’s Springboks outnumbering Sale’s Lions five-to-one. England’s Tom Curry is the club’s solitary Lion.
