BULLS No.8 Duane Vermeulen has dealt the Springboks a major injury scare ahead of next month’s Lions tour series, after limping off in the first half.
Coach Jake White admitted things ‘do not look too good’ for the back rower, while No.9 Herschel Jantjies also left the match injured for the Stormers.
Vermeulen was seen with ice strapped to his left ankle in what will be a worry for Boks coach Jacques Nienaber.
Tim Swiel opened the scoring from the tee for the Stormers before converting Damian Willemse’s touchdown.
