PAUL Turner lambasted ‘rugby suicide’ as his Ampthill side lost the Battle of Bedfordshire to slip out of the Championship’s top six.
Bedford’s Oli Curry saw red for a stamp to the head of Ampthill’s Charlie Beckett after just 26 minutes, but the visitors couldn’t press home the numerical advantage as Mike Rayer’s side rallied to finish eighth in the table.
Ampthill head coach, Turner said: “We made far too many errors to win the game. We said at half-time the game was there to be won if we just looked after the ball.
