NEWCASTLE director of rugby Dean Richards was disappointed that his side had capitulated after the interval.
He said: “We played well in the first half to score three good tries but we knew the wind was worth 14 points.
“They had it in their favour in the second half and they came out firing but we lacked composure when our backs were to the wall.
“Losing Micky Young at half-time and then three locks didn’t help our set-piece but I felt we should have been able to cope better.”
