JONATHAN Thomas admitted his Warriors were left as much mentally scarred as they were physically battered after they endured an eight-try crushing at the Stoop.

The head coach claimed: “You can sense all the guys are hurting in the dressing room because you don’t like losing to a score like that. Or, indeed, in that fashion.

“We’re not satisfied and very disappointed. The big thing for us is the performance and the thing we have to own is that everything we prepared to do was fleeting. We didn’t stick to that enough. It’s not acceptable to concede 50 points here.

“The try bonus point at the end is very small consolation. We spoke about who in the Quins side had the ability to score tries and they’ve done that to a number of teams.

“We spoke about being structured and had prepared well. Then we just didn’t maintain the high standards we set ourselves. We scored some good tries early on but, unfortunately, we became a bit loose. It’s about working hard and being connected but we defended as individuals.”
